I'm on the West Coast and it's now 2:11 pm, so I still have time to post this recap of the past year.
I started the Crafting Creatures blog to journal my creations and encourage my crafting friends to be inspired by each others' work. Since they stopped adding to it and I was taking my work more seriously, I wanted to make a new blog to reflect that pivotal shift. So a big thank you for coming to Paper Zen, and encouraging me to new heights.
Below are linked projects and tutorials I've posted this year, which include a commission for a quilled Year of the Snake poster and a contribution to Ann Martin's All Things Paper book. The love I have for paper includes quilling and die cutting, and to broaden my skills, I designed projects to be printable/hand-cuttable as well. I've never done a recap post before, but now realize what a great idea it is to reflect on how I've grown and changed this year. I never want to lose this need to learn and experiment with new twists I can put to paper.
I plan to announce something big tomorrow, which I've waited for 2 years to talk about. Can you tell how I'm anticipating the start of 2014? I wish all of you just as much thrill of starting a bright and Happy New Year! I'm so grateful to you all for spending your time with me on my blog!
